När vi kommit hem från vår bilutflykt och stuvat undan alla godsaker som vi inhandlat på Tesco – fick vi ett SMS från Aliara och Skuggfaxe som redan hade vaknat till liv efter överfarten. De hade tagit sig till närmaste pub för att njuta av en Fish and chips och tillhörande Pint. Vi beslöt oss givetvis för att ansluta till Waterfront som puben hette.

Här hade de ramlat in musikant efter musikant under kvällen. Initiativtagaren till detta skottska musik jam var han med ståbasen (Allan Mcdonald) – om jag förstod allting rätt. Han hade bjudit in lokala musiker till denna kväll för att spela ihop lite pengar till matpaket (välgörenhet). Snart var det nästan fler musikanter än det var publik.

Vi fick uppleva verklig musikglädje av dessa öldrickande skottar – som ju inte kände varandra. De turades om att framföra olika låtar. En sjöng något som måste varit motsvande våra skillingtryck. En annan var grym på att lira med skedar. Bäst var nog tanten som kom in med sin rullator och glatt spela på sin trumma. Ja – när hon inte drack öl alltså…
